We are looking for an (Associate) Director R&D Transformation Projects & Operations to contribute to the transformation of our R&D functions and ensure the successful execution of key R&D transformation projects through both project-based initiatives and agile, action-oriented measures that quickly achieve an impact. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Work hand-in-hand with the Directors R&D Transformation Projects & Operations to contribute to the development and implementation of R&D transformation projects, including identifying opportunities to optimize processes and improve functional efficiencies
- Act as a strategic project manager and drive innovation through both project-based initiatives and agile, action-oriented measures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive key projects and initiatives that align with the R&D transformation strategy
- Support the identification and conceptualization of initiatives for integrating research/translational/clinical activities, monitor the execution and implementation of initiatives, leveraging an excellent cross-organizational network
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including board members, senior R&D functional leads, and research project and development program teams, to ensure alignment and effective communication
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership, including managing opportunities, risks and issues that may impact project outcomes
- Act as change lead for continuous improvement and drive transformational initiatives
What you have to offer:
- Advanced degree in a scientific or technical field, with a MD or PHD in natural sciences, or a related field preferred
- Demonstrated track record of extensive professional experience in project management or strategy consulting (Tier 1), with a focus on leading complex, cross-functional research or drug development projects in the biopharmaceutical industry
- Strong interpersonal skills, motivate with enthusiasm and develop productive working relationships with key stakeholders
- Experience with agile methodologies and a proven ability to execute on action-oriented measures that quickly achieve impact
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and issues proactively
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to travel up to 20% internationally is required
